A documented BFRO report credits him with the follow-up investigation of an encounter near Las Vegas, New Mexico, where an educated skeptic claimed to have seen a large, heavy, crouching animal behind a gas station. Omer's role was to interview the highly educated witness, analyze the environment (noting the proximity of the Santa Fe National Forest and a possible food source dumpster), and summarize the sighting.
